MIDNIGHT RUN, considered good enough to contest the Grade 1 Drinmore Novices Chase when last seen in November, was still going along nicely enough when coming to grief five out. He's finished behind Asterion Forlonge and Captain Guinness on two of his other three chase starts and this looks more straightforward. However, it's far from a penalty kick as Gordon Elliott runs Call Me Lyreen, a talented handicap hurdler who will be all the better for his chasing bow when fourth at Ballinrobe. It could be a good contest between the pair with clear rounds, although Watch House Cross is also of interest on chasing debut for Henry De Bromhead.
