In depth

Verdict

Takarengo was second on his chasing bow at Clonmel and ran well again over hurdles at Killarney last month. Summer Tide can improve on his fourth at Killarney and Pale Blue Dot was prominent for a long way at Limerick. ITWASFATE (NAP) was a very good fifth over hurdles at the Punchestown Festival. He’s a half-brother to useful chaser Gunsight Ridge and winning pointer Earth Mother so should do even better over the larger obstacles. Magheralin Mick is improving with experience and The Big Chap would be interesting if getting a run from his reserve spot but Changing The Rules is getting no nearer to shedding his maiden tag.
