    Verdict

Bubbly Bellini has had several engagements over the past few days and has never run over this trip before so even if he does turn up he is passed over in favour of GLEN LASS who is selected ahead of Major Maximus. Jeff Pearce has done well with Glen Lass, getting two wins out of her of late in claiming grade at Wolverhampton. Impressive on her latest win, we know that she sees out every yard of this trip and despite being badly treated at the weights she is preferred. The horse who stands out is the 70-rated Major Maximus. Although that rating flatters him, he has shown ability and if he gets this longer trip then he should run a big race, especially if the market agrees. Kirsty's Boy is rated 76 following his recent Lingfield success; he previously had contested some big sales races and it would be no surprise to see him run well once again but he is another with stamina to prove. With Bubbly Bellini in that bracket, this race could go the way of the in-form Glen Lass.
