Argot looks to be improving with experience and there was plenty to like about his close second to the well supported Scoop The Pot at Ludlow last month. This looks no tougher and he should make a bold bid to go one better. Trader Jack is 1-42 on the Flat and was a 50/1 chance when making his debut over timber here a couple of weeks ago where he ran quite well though finished a long way behind runner-up Brother Bennett. Jim Best's charge, a winning bumper in Ireland, was showing easily his best form so far over timber and it will be a surprise if he's not in contention when it matters. However, CRY FURY is the one to take out of that race as he stayed on in the latter stages through beaten horses. He was a decent handicapper in a light career on the level and should have a future over timber.
