        Verdict

        MAKANAH managed to get beat when odds-on at Wolverhampton but was clear of the rest and may have run into an above-average winner in Running Cloud. He gets another chance in this and is just preferred to Mearing. The latter showed plenty of promise when runner-up at Wetherby on his debut while Cosmopolitan Queen wasn’t beaten that far at Newmarket and much better is expected from Encrypted today. Rebel Streak is a half-brother to the useful sprinter Merdon Castle and Yaafour is another newcomer to note.
