    Verdict

Katie Gale’s easy win at Southwell came in amateur company and THE DETAINEE makes more appeal. He was having his first outing since August when third over track and trip earlier this month and looks capable of scoring off his current mark. Unblinking is fit from hurdling but 4lb higher than when scoring over course and distance in November while True Destiny’s earlier win at Lingfield came off an 7lb lower mark. Bird For Life has been hinting at a return to winning ways while Banta Bay has been thereabouts over shorter trips recently but Dltripleseven has his first start since 2017.
