In depth

Verdict

Malystic beat the hat-trick seeking Elixir De Nutz in a premier handicap at Ayr in the spring. He is 11lb better off with the runner-up today but hasn’t shown a lot in two runs this term, finishing well behind BOOTHILL at Ascot last month. Harry Fry’s charge is something of a specialist on the Berkshire course but this track is not dissimilar in nature. Editeur Du Gite beat Nube Negra by 13 lengths in this last year so could be a potential fly-in-the-ointment if back in the same mood but Grange Walk has had limitations exposed at this level.
