      Verdict

All the leading players have something to prove but with the least to do on that score is DINNER DATE. A bit of a course and distance specialist the gelding won with plenty to spare in an apprentice race when taking to his favoured mission on his latest and with his jockey allowed to use all of her claim this time he's no worse off. Tuxedo likes it here and is still fairly treated after his score at this track last time but he's yet to win over this far while Born To Excel makes a raid from Ireland and is on form but is unproven on the surface. Zebrano is down to his last winning mark and has acted on the surface in the past so might be value for the places and another in that mould is the consistent Round Won.
