In depth

Verdict

FIMIAS makes a handicap debut today and with Kieren Fallon replacing much less experienced riders in the plate, hopes must be high that he can make a winning introduction off a mark of 67. Tamareen won well at Wolverhampton though the draw has not been kind on this follow up bid. Sceal Nua is a workmanlike individual that seems likely to run her race. Cathcart Castle would be of interest if Chris Catlin is able to make the ultra lightweight of 8st2lb. Titus Two has yet to race on an artificial surface and his backers will need to overlook a modest run at Sandown. Bearheart returns to an artificial surface having bombed out spectacularly on turf. Diamond Vine steps up in trip.
