    Verdict

Newmarket winner Planetoid should be capable of better this year with a recent pipe-opener under his belt but Mataaleb needed a longer trip at Wolverhampton to end his long losing run. Ellemujie and Borug usually run their race without being good enough while Art Scholar found a 6lb rise beyond him last time having won over C&D before that. COMMUNICATOR has yet to race on the all-weather but scored at York last year and is dropped in class after finishing a creditable fourth to Fiery Lad at Epsom last time. Andrew Balding's charge is the one to beat if running anywhere near that level here and he gets the vote.
