        Verdict

        The way PRIMO DE VIDA rapidly weakened in the closing stages of his recent comeback run suggested the outing was needed. He went close over C&D back in June and, with a 7lb claimer making his task that much easier, can get off the mark here. Yes Chef has the past form on turf to figure but hasn't run since September and Foxtrot Golf makes more appeal judged on last month's second over C&D. Newcomer Byrons Beau is a half-brother to winners on the all-weather but fellow debutant Sole Bay is bred to need a longer trip.
