Verdict

Remind Me Later went up 6lb for winning at Worcester in October but probably needed the run when second in a small field at Market Rasen earlier this month. LOOSE CHIPS (NAP) is in the veteran stage now but retains plenty of enthusiasm. Paul O’Brien takes off 5lb and will have his mount close to the pace and he could take some catching on a course at which he’s been successful in the past. The jury is out on Southfield Theatre and also the returning Stellar Notion and Mont Royale while Bugsie Malone races from out of the handicap.

Stellar Notion (IRE) 25-1 (11-2) Led narrowly, headed after 5th, led at 6th, headed at 9th, soon led, headed at 12th, weakened before 4 out, 10th of 16, dist behind Total Recall (10-5) at Limerick 3m hcp sft in Oct.

Southfield Theatre (IRE) 10-1 (11-7) Chased leaders, went 2nd 3rd, led 5th, headed 8th, not fluent 13th, mistake 15th, lost 2nd next, blundered badly and weakened 18th, pulled up before 4 out, at Musselburgh 4m 1f hcp (2) sft in Feb.

Loose Chips 8-1 (11-0) Led, headed before 2 out, weakened between last 2, 5th of 8, 11 1/2l behind Rathlin Rose (10-5) at Ascot 3m hcp (2) sft in Mar.

Mont Royale 28-1 (11-10) Towards rear, fell 4th, at Ludlow 3m 2f hcp (3) gd in Dec.

Remind Me Later (IRE) 4-1 (10-12) Held up in touch in rear, not fluent 10th, effort 4 out, every chance 3 out, not quicken 2 out, went 2nd and kept on flat, no impression on winner, 2nd of 4, 2 1/2l behind Beggar's Wishes (11-2) at Market Rasen 2m 5f hcp (3) hvy in Apr.
