Verdict

Jacob Cats made a winning reappearance in last year's renewal and is not easily dismissed off a similar mark this time round. Charlies Mate is usually thereabouts and finished ahead of Buckland Beau when fourth here last time but Elysian Prince makes less appeal raised 5lb for winning at Lingfield last month. Lady Marl is not out of this after going close at Chelmsford but JOLIEVITESSE has shown recent improvement for a slide down the weights and looks set for a return to winning ways on the back of a narrow-margin defeat over 1m4f here. Prendergast Hill is unexposed and could also figure making his handicap debut on his return to action.
