    Verdict

JAZZ sets the standard and it's a decent one. He's had plenty of chances but has been placed in class 2 handicaps and is taken to finally open his account in this lesser company. Speedfiend should make a race of it on official ratings after a second at Nottingham but Wickhambrook has 10lb to find with the selection. Almargo is likely to improve from a debut third at Lingfield and may get involved while Mushir is entered in next month's Middle Park and makes more appeal than Pushkin Museum of the newcomers.
