Verdict
Christina Rossetti, HAAKIMA and Keep Ringing make most appeal in this competitive opener and the vote is given to Haakima. The selection has not been seen out since running in a Group 2 contest at Newmarket back in October. She was well beaten that day but the fact that she was aimed so high suggests that she is quite highly rated by connections and from a good draw she can get her head in front. Christina Rossetti is a well-bred newcomer from the John Gosden yard and they have been firing in the winners of late so she is entitled to plenty of respect. Keep Ringing ran well last time at Lingfield when she finished third behind Kaabari over 7f. The step-up in trip will suit as she was doing all her best work at the finish that day and she could go close. Marco Botti has got his string in decent order at present so his newcomer Extracurricular is worth considering. In a similar vein Barry Hills has been amongst the winner of late so it will be interesting to see if there is any money for his newcomer Kefalonia. There are plenty in with chances here and we will nominate Haakima as the pick.
