Verdict

Slate House has struggled since completing a course and distance double last year including this contest. He may well bounce back but stablemate TRIPLE TRADE is the preferred choice of Brendan Powell and he gets the vote having ended the winning run of Lazy Sunday when successful at Wincanton last time. That looks stronger form than Raffle Ticket’s victory at Huntingdon while Real Stone, Bun Doran and Family Business all won their penultimate starts over shorter trips,+- though the latter has scored over today’s distance in the past.
