      Verdict

      Lastkingofscotland has been in fine form over 7f but is prone to the odd slow start and that could cost him back over this shorter trip. April Fool has made all to win his last three starts over longer trips, but that leaves him vulnerable to a fast finisher like Frequency, who never recovered after running into trouble at Wolverhampton last time. ROCHE DES VENTS won his maiden at Lingfield last May and was aimed high in a couple of subsequent starts. Richard Hannon's colt makes a belated reappearance here and might just be good enough. Northern Dare was engaged to run in the 4.30 at Lingfield yesterday.
