      Verdict

      SONGJIANG won his maiden when stepped up to 1m2f at Lingfield last month. Today's extra distance is in his favour and a good run from fourth-placed Manifestation in the previous race on today's card will boost confidence in his chances. John Gosden's charge had Gower Rules behind last time and a bigger threat could come from Blue Cossack, who also had the latter behind when runner-up here two weeks ago. Ya Hafed is facing a different test here after scoring over a mile at Southwell last month, while Not So Bright looks in the handicapper's grip.
