Verdict

Gelded over the winter, WESTERN WRITER (NAP) was also fitted with a tongue-tie for his reappearance and maiden victory at Chelmsford. There looks more to come now handicapping and Charlie Appleby’s charge is preferred to Moonlight Frolic and Raqraaq, who also make their handicap debuts. Prism looks a threat on her second outing of the year while Royal Aviation completed a double over today’s trip earlier and Fitzrovia won twice here in December. Newton Jack may prove best of the rest.
