Verdict
Plenty of deadwood in a big field, but SHAUNAS SPIRIT isn't one of them. She finally got off the mark over C&D on Wednesday and this looks less competitive despite a 6lb penalty. My Best Man is another recent winner over track and trip albeit in a lesser grade and he went close again over 6f here last time, while Saktoon showed a bit more at Southwell on her latest outing. Diplomatic has yet to take advantage of a slide down the weights, but My Jeanie has place claims once again after her latest second at Lingfield behind Cut and Thrust, who runs in the first race on the card. Kyncraighe gained his first success in 22 starts at Wolverhampton on Friday and a quick follow-up isn't out of the question as he had run well there the previous week.
