Verdict

PERFECT CRACKER was expected to improve for his second run back from a lay-off and did so in no uncertain terms when running out an easy winner of a maiden race here a week ago. With further progress expected over this extra furlong, Clive Cox' charge can defy a penalty and makes more appeal than other recent 7f winners Cheylesmore and Russian Ice. The latter pair have both been raised 5lb so Prodigality may prove a bigger threat on his handicap debut, as he's having only his third start after opening his account at Wolverhampton earlier this month.
