The fitting of cheekpieces has helped HEREFORD BOY recapture some zest and he's better drawn than another last time out winner Kuanyao. Pha Mai Blue may prove to be best of the remainder. The topweight has been raised by 5lbs for winning over course and distance twenty six days ago but that still leaves him on a 10lb lower mark than his highest winning rating and he's undeniably well treated. He may need a little luck in running in coming from off the pace but was good value for his latest success and should go close. Kuanyao has done her all-weather racing at Lingfield thus far but should prove as effective on this track and may have the scope to defy a 4lb rise although Steve Drowne has no easy task from the one box. Pha Mai Blue is better drawn and is well treated but has questions to answer at present as does Sydneysider. The Happy Hammer should go close but doesn't appeal as a likely winner and nor does Dajen on the bare form but he's unexposed and worth a market check. Kings Ace is another that makes a modicum of appeal but he could struggle to live with Hereford Boy.
