BASODA won this two years ago before suffering an injury. He's gradually been regaining his fitness this summer and could be poised to stage a repeat in a race that might not be as competitive as the numbers suggest. Sadler's Star has to go on the short-list after his latest second at Huntingdon but Tim The Chair was last of four at Exeter 10 days ago and neither of the Lawney Hill pair, Font and Baily Storm, make much appeal at the weights. Chapel House enjoyed a successful campaign in the spring but the handicapper reacted accordingly and he was pulled up on his reappearance at Hereford. The others are equally hard to fancy on recent form.
