        Verdict

        Charlie Appleby bids to win this for the third time in a row but Sailor's Way finished nearly last at Doncaster on his debut. Like the latter, EAST INDIES also sports Godolphin colours but he showed more promise when fourth over a mile at Sandown earlier in the month. He is just preferred to recent Salisbury third Albe Back as both step up in distance. Bo Bridget went backwards last time having been narrowly beaten at Thirsk on her introduction but the newcomer Four Poets and the half-brother to four winners, Gimlet, are both worth a second glance in the betting.
