Verdict

Lee Carter has done really well with LOWTHER, who had three different trainers before joining him. The eight-year-old is in fine shape at present and gained his second recent success when holding off today's rival Stir Trader over the C&D. There should be little between them again but the winner looked to have a bit in hand and should confirm the form and complete a hat-trick. Angelic Upstart is still looking a few pounds high though she finished strongly over the C&D on Saturday and Fast Finian has been staying on well enough over 7f to suggest he won't be inconvenienced by the extra furlong. Roy The Boy is very consistent but has only won once in 17 starts and is 12lb higher in the weights.
