      Verdict

      A handful of these went close on their latest starts including AMONTILLADO. The latter may have finished sixth at Lingfield but was only beaten just over a length by the in-form Masterpaver and can come out best in this with Richard Hughes taking over the reins. Shannon Haven went close to following up his earlier victory when beaten only a nose at Lingfield while both Needs The Run and Beastfromtheeast suffered narrow-margin defeats at Southwell last time. Lucky Dottie won a seller at 20/1 on her latest start but will find life tougher off an 8lb higher mark in this company.
