BERGO looks the call here on his chasing bow, getting the nod ahead of Bunglasha Jake. The selection has his first start for Gary Moore today and he looks to have his ideal conditions. The drop in trip shouldn't be a problem for a horse with a decent cruising speed and he has the scope to be a force in these early season races. Bunglasha Jake goes straight over fences; his two bumper runs suggested that we won't see the best of him quite yet, and he may be of more interest when tried over longer distances as his point-to-point form suggests. Nortonthorpe Lad is rated 130 over hurdles so he is not to be dismissed on this chasing debut, along with Stumped although he is rated a stone or so lower. Allfortara completes the line-up; she is bred for fences and although she signed off in April with a pulled-up effort at Stratford, it would be no surprise to see her improve in this sphere. An interesting heat, where Bergo looks the obvious call.
