        Verdict

        NOUVELLE ERE scored at Chelmsford last time and an apprentice negates most of a 4lb rise. Tony Carroll's charge drops down a grade so looks capable of going again at this lowly level. Katmai River is usually thereabouts in this company and Focail Mear went close over track and trip in a similar contest last month. Berwin can also figure if in the mood and finished ahead of Roy Rocket when third here in November.
