Although headgear doesn't always have the desired effect second time around we will take MARVIN GARDENS to make it two blinkered wins in succession, while Whiskey Creek looks to be the danger. In truth this is another poor quality contest which might be marginally more pleasant than sitting in a traffic queue on the nearby M25, but we have to give a selection and Marvin Gardens had just about enough in hand at Wolverhampton to suggest he might be capable of backing up. Whiskey Creek has run some respectable races in context on his last three starts including when also blinkered for the first time at Lingfield when last seen on the racecourse. A reproduction of that effort would see him bang there. Welsh Opera has some form here and over the trip and there is enough ability to get heavily involved in this sphere. Coming from a notorious punting yard a market check is key. Donard Lodge has a good chance in terms of how the weights are framed here on her first start this side of the water and over a trip that suits, but with little inspiration we'll take Marvin Gardens to score.
