Luna Wish made the most of an apprentice’s 7lb allowance to score at Chelmsford last month but doesn’t have that advantage today while Lady Alavesa ended a barren spell when beating only three rivals over track and trip recently. SWORD SPIRIT disappointed at Newcastle in December but that came only seven days after scoring at Lingfield on her handicap bow. The Haggas filly gets another chance fresh from a short break with plenty of scope for further progress. The Jean Genie’s earlier victory at Lingfield came over a longer trip so Ascraeus makes more appeal.
