    Verdict

    FLY AT DAWN was well supported at Newmarket, despite making his debut in a hood, and made most. He has plenty of scope and may have too much basic speed for these rivals. Northdown never got involved on his debut at Ayr after a slow start but it was a different matter at Lingfield where he was up with the pace before staying on to lead on the line. Spirit Of Sarwan landed a 6f Brighton maiden in June but has been outclassed in his last two starts including a Group 2. Mums The Word improved when stepped up to 6f at Windsor where she couldn't quite get to the long odds-on Tropical Rock with the remainder well beaten.
