An interesting conclusion to the card and one that can be taken by Caught In The Dark, while Ben Lomand, Awarding and The Privateer look set to go very well. The selection is a real six furlong specialist, who will relish this quick ground and went well over course and distance in defeat to Indian Trail last time out. A 2lb drop here will help him, as will the booking of Kieren Fallon and he is taken to win. Ben Lomand is upped 4lb as a result of winning a Windsor handicap by a neck last time out. At home over either five or six furlongs, the Inchinor colt can again go well but might just be exposed now and could find winning of this mark difficult. Awarding has been running well in better company than this so far this year without getting his nose in front. The drop in class will help him but those defeats have done nothing to see him slide down the handicap and he won't find it easy conceding weight to most of his rivals, while The Privateer gives weight away all around but should also appreciate a slight drop in class and can be involved in the shake up. The vote though, goes to Caught In The Dark.
