Verdict

AFRICAN SWIFT failed to trouble the winner when fourth over today’s trip at Goodwood, though could have finished closer with a clear run. This looks less competitive and Mark Johnston’s filly gets the nod. Sweet Serenade and Kalsara will likely do better on the back of modest debut efforts but Pink Tulip took a backwards step at Newbury last time whereas Golden Cygnet can only improve. Penpal represents an in-form yard and is a newcomer to note.
