Support for Naias would see us switch our allegiance but we'll take FLAMESTONE in the opener with Nordic Light one that could surprise. Sherjawy has his work cut out to confirm recent form with the selection and Baba Ghanoush given that he's 6lbs worse off with the pair. Further behind in that race were Desert Light and Gone 'N' Dunnett and neither did enough to suggest that their turn was near. Naias is unexposed and may possibly not have handled the track at Southwell last time. That was her first run since the summer and she drops in grade here and market support would look significant. Nordic Light hasn't been in great form but Chris Catlin takes over from an apprentice and he wears a tongue strap for the first time; he's not too badly drawn either and may just be able to take a hand if the applications work. The selection has yet to win a race and there must be some doubt as to whether he can reproduce the form of his latest start but he's better drawn on this occasion and a similar performance would put him right there. It was his first start since August and he's relatively unexposed on the all-weather so may have a little more to offer so we'll award the vote to Flamestone.
