CIRCUS STAR caught the eye when staying on for fourth at Newmarket and, with that run in the bag, he could take some beating under Fallon. Brian Meehan's record with second-time-out juveniles is exceptional, underlining how much his horses learn for their debuts, and the form of his fourth-placed finish reads well with the third winning comfortably next time. He's taken to put his experience to good use in beating Laatafreet and Halifax, two fascinating newcomers. The latter is a half-brother to high-class juvenile Hibaayeb which makes him more interesting than juvenile debutants from the yard would be and Laatafreet, whilst bred for further, is also from a superb family so market support would be worth noting. Charles Fosterkane was behind Circus Star despite holding a fitness advantage last time and will struggle to reverse that form.
