        Verdict

        DISTANT landed the odds at Chelmsford last month to win a maiden race. An apprentice takes 3lb off her back as she goes handicapping for the first time and Roger Charlton’s filly is preferred to the more exposed Tom's Rock. The latter was narrowly beaten over track and trip a fortnight ago while Vincent's Forever scored here for John Gosden when last on the Flat and has been hurdling without success since joining David Pipe. St Malo won his maiden at Newcastle last year and this is easier than his comeback run at York in May.
