Nothing went right for Flaming Spear behind Sun Power at Wolverhampton. He is 3lb better off and it would be no surprise to see a form reversal. But Dean Ivory’s runner is closely matched with Highfaluting on the form book and the latter loves it here and has been knocking on the door again lately. He has the plum draw so will almost certainly be in the mix again but he did finish behind PRONTISSIMO on Turf at Doncaster and the three-year-old is less exposed. Dutch Decoy is also a previous course and distance winner and back in the right grade but Riknnah failed to complete the four-timer at Newmarket last month off today’s mark.
