Verdict

Trail-blazer Marodima took advantage of some leniency by the handicapper to win easily at Fontwell last Sunday. He'll take no prisoners here, despite his welter burden, but may be vulnerable to less exposed types further down the weights. Kings Troop won twice on the Flat last year but just hasn't taken to hurdles and disappointed again at Taunton last month, but there are possibilities about Robain if he's been freshened up by a short break. Zelos Diktator won at Folkestone last month and has been placed on the all-weather since but the switch back to hurdling could benefit ZAFRANAGAR. He's also been busy on the Flat, winning at Lingfield last month, and is only 2lb higher over timber than when successful over C&D last March under today's experienced pilot.
