In depth

Verdict

Several took part in a qualifier for this series final won by RAINBOW DANCER (NAP). Alan King’s charge beat the front-running Island Brave with Withhold, Imperium and Bandinelli further behind and has now won five of his six previous starts at this venue. The latter returned the beaten favourite on that occasion though should be sharper today while Duty Of Care won a lower grade qualifier over track and trip a week ago when Motazzen and Sashenka filled the places and Juan Bermudez is another upped in class after beating Bascule, Temporiz and Danni California here.
