In depth

Formwatch

Arabian Moon (IRE) A couple of wins over the summer, well beaten but not given a hard time in Handicap company; plenty of weight but not without a chance.

Nine O Three (IRE) A winner over 3m3f back in June, has run well since in better company; likely to find some too good but place chances.

Chalcedony Very inconsistent form, conclusive BF in heavy ground last time. First time over this extended trip.

The Sawdust Kid Impressive winner penultimate start on GF, subsequently beaten in Amateur Rider Hurdle; likely to give a good account of himself today and prefers a sounder surface..

Hot To Trot (IRE) Very uninspiring form of late, new jockey on board; needs to improve to be in the shake up.

Spring Double (IRE) Has not run since March 2000 when third in similar conditions and trip. His better runs are in softer ground; likely to know more after this run.

Quickswood (IRE) Easily opposed.

Ibin St James Has won four handicap hurdles, but has been right out of form recently.

Talkasha (IRE) Excellent form in France 1999, nothing near a reproduction of that since coming over to Britain.

Flying Footsie Hard to recommend on most recent form.

Above The Cut (USA) Distance winner less than a fortnight ago, improved for the extra distance. Expected further improvement would give him every chance at these weights.
