In depth

Verdict

POTENZA (NAP) took advantage of a lower mark on the all-weather and scored over track and trip a week ago. He’s penalised 5lb but won off today’s mark at Chester in May and drops down a grade for this. A bumper and hurdles winner, Didtheyleaveuoutto won over 1m6f at Nottingham last time and may still be ahead of the handicapper while both Scudamore and Murhib placed over track and trip on their respective latest starts. Storm Chaser ran well at Wolverhampton on her debut in this country while Gauntlet’s recent second came over a longer trip at Pontefract.
