Verdict

HYPERFOCUS won twice last year but something went amiss in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket’s July meeting when last seen in action. Hugo Palmer’s colt is just preferred to a similar type in Ventura Blues, who landed a double last summer and has her first start since June. The latter makes more appeal than stablemate and recent Lingfield winner Juan Horsepower but Family Fortunes made a winning start at the latter track in February and could go well under Jim Crowley. Sayesse won four times last year before his form tailed off and drops in class on his reappearance.
