In depth

Verdict

Electric Warrior is best in at the weights judged by official BHA ratings and Karl Burke's gelding has solid claims over a trip that suits but marginal preference is for SOFIA'S STAR, who comes into this in good form in handicaps and can make the most of the drop in grade with Dressed To Dance rated the pick of the rest. Although disappointing when last seen on the Polytrack, the David Evans-trained gelding has won on the surface previously and showed improved form on the turf when last seen. He could be of interest in this grade on his return to the sand. Tom Dascombe's Desert Dreamer has been placed in his last two starts, both in this grade, and he should again be thereabouts. Jewelled Dagger is probably better over further, while Tender Process needs to improve on recent form to trouble the selection, Sofia's Star. Simon Dow's gelding comes into this in decent form in handicaps and can resume winning ways dropped to this grade.
