Saeed Bin Suroor looks to have found a good opportunity here for Abydos to break his duck, while Sri Kuantan can go well and Speed Ticket is an interesting newcomer. Abydos showed improved form when stepped up to this trip at Pontefract last time, and is going the right way. This is his first try on the polytrack but he will surely have worked on this sort of surface at home and as a fast ground lover he can probably act on it. Sri Kuantan made a decent debut here over 1m 4f, and the drop back in trip should not inconvenience. He was well beaten that day but stuck to his task well and can improve the the experience to take a close hand. Speed Ticket will probably be better over further, but this looks ideal for starters and with his yard going well he cannot be discounted. Emperor Court looks best of the rest, but Abydos can take the prize.
