In depth

Verdict

GLEN LASS can continue a rich run of form to see off She's My Rock and Captain Cool. Jeff Pearce has his string in fine form and this filly has proved white hot in claimers. She has no issues with regard to the track but the question now is whether the handicapper's original assessment of her is correct. She's My Rock has been a busy customer during the winter. She has shaped as if needing further than the seven she has campaigned over recently and the market is noted. Captain Cool is still a maiden after nine starts. The booking of Eddie Ahern is interesting. Whipperway won a seller for Mick Channon on his latest outing and is now tried outside of that grade by Sheena West. Jenerous Blue had three inauspicious outings in maidens before putting up a much more informative effort in a nursery. Keene's Royale ran solidly in a fair Nottingham maiden and might be nibbled at in the market on handicap debut. Glen Lass is the pick.
