In depth

Verdict

A basic question to answer here and the coin comes down on the side of the unexposed Arctic Sky, who edges it narrowly from Lorenzino, who has a couple of questions to answer now he reverts to hurdles. The Jonjo O'Neill team appear to be trying to find a confidence booster for their charge and he will undoubtedly be hard to beat if his fall over fences at Huntingdon has not dented his self-assurance at his obstacles. However, as that brings a non-existent dimension to the form book, punters could do worse than to scrutinize Arctic Sky's claims as the more progressive of the two today. Nicky Henderson loves to get one ready for an appearance at Kempton and will be unfazed by the lack of numbers set to face his charge. He can be confident that Arctic Sky is adaptable with regard to his style of running but it would be no surprise to see the instructions passed on for the six-year-old try to draw the sting out his weak finishing rival at an early stage. The two jockeys in question will also relish going head-to-head this afternoon, but Mick Fitzgerald is taken to get one over on the reigning champion with Arctic Sky this afternoon.
