        Verdict

        Avalon Bay finally got off the mark when, left unchallenged, he made all over 7f here last time. However, he won't find it so easy to shake off the attentions of WINNIEPEG today and Clive Cox's filly is preferred. She landed a maiden over C&D on her recent return to action and there should be plenty more to come on only her third start. The handicapper has finally relented and dropped Greenhead High 2lb in the weights but it may take more than that before he's winning again, while Fairy Tales and Lovat Lane have yet to win a race between them.
