        Verdict

        Oceanographer returned from a lay-off with an easy win at Chelmsford but has a 14lb hike in the weights to contend with. He may well be progressive enough to cope but BARYE is proven in this grade and at his best on the all-weather. He gets the nod on his debut for new trainer Richard Hughes given Lahayeb was raised 9lb for her earlier win at Nottingham and Regulation has not won on the Flat since 2013. Aldeburgh has been thereabouts of late but is upped in class for this while the remainder look high enough in the weights at present.
