Verdict

Landescent, a half-brother to seven winners, including Tertia and Backcloth, is taken to land this competitve event. He will be suited by this step up in trip and can see off some useful rivals. Both Xhosa and Valiant Romeo have plenty on under their penalties and it may be left to newcomer Mark Of Zorro to prove the main danger. A 75,000 guinea yearling, he runs here in preference to the earlier maiden.
