Tom Dascombe's Classic Colori is bound to be popular with backers following his win in a listed race at Lingfield last month but he has a penalty to carry for that success and a better bet may be AZIZI, who gets the vote with the main danger rated as Aldovrandi. Marco Botti's colt lacks any racecourse experience but he is bred to be useful being by Cape Cross out of a Royal Academy mare and represents a trainer that can get one ready for their first outing so he has to be respected, especially if attracting any market support. With Clive Brittain's runners in good form, Gumnd has to be considered but he needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge and a bigger threat is likely to come form Planet Red. Richard Hannon's colt was well held in the Acomb Stakes when last seen but had earned his place at York when winning previously at Windsor and he has to be considered on his reappearance. Navajo Chief ran encouragingly on his return to action here last month and he is another that has to be respected but a better bet looks to be Azizi. The William Haggas-trained colt lacks a run this term but fitness should not be a problem with the stable having started the season in good form and he looks worth siding with having shown progressive form last term as a juvenile.
